Jay and April's Wedding

I would like to present to you Jay and April Collier!

This was my first wedding to shoot. It was long and exhausting but after I saw how the pictures came out I felt a bit of excitement. I chose not to use any flash. I and the groom hate shadows created by using flash so I settled on increasing the iso to 800 and shooting in av mode and tv mode with my low light lenses.

Well a week of editing awaits me but figured I would give you a peek of a few favorites so far! Hope you enjoy!

All Star Tournament

This week has been long and trying. I need to find rest but it does not look like I'll be able to get the rest I need anytime soon. Saturday, which is one of my day's off, I have a wedding to shoot which will keep me busy yet once again.

Along with my full time job at a local furniture store, I also work as the Sport's Photography for a local newspaper. This week has been the State All Star Tournament, located in Laurel, to see which teams make it to South Carolina. As it looks now, our Laurel's boys may not make it but tonight we will see if one of the teams advances to the National Tournament. Good luck guys tonight and hope you advance.

These pictures did not make it to the Sport's sections as others were chosen but these are a few of my favorites. Hope you like them! Till my next posting. And remember, God is good!

Downtown in the Burg..

God is good, this is a truth I hold on to. It's a truth that does not come with a feeling to me but its a truth I hold on to nevertheless.

Years ago (06 and 07) I took a mission trip to Moldova. Trip's I will never forget. While there I met many lovely people and fell in love with its people and their hunger for God. Over the past two summer's, due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to make it back. Though this left me sad- even this summer, God brought two guys (friends from Moldova whom i met there) to the States and settled them down near me to receive their college education and if God will's, stay.

This is one of the two, Alex, who I took out for a photo shoot to downtown Hattiesburg at night.
